Well it's been a long time since i posted. Mostly because I was trying to stay sane on mostly bed rest and the like. All this while having a very active almost two year old to keep entertained. I haven't been on the computer as much. And it seems like facebook is the best place for my family and I to keep in contact. So been updating there mostly. Since it's small little updates that I can handle quickly.
Well all week this week has been nothing but testing and check-ups. So blood work came back that I was on the borderline of being anemic. So just add some red meat and spinach to my diet. Something I don't do a lot is red meat so cool. I can handle a steak or two. My glucose count was 165. If it is over 140 they like you to do a three hour glucose challenge. So that is tomorrow. Blech three hours of waiting. But hey I have two books downloaded to my phone so I am good.
OMG! What an action packed two weeks! I spent two nights and three days in the hospital in TX. They basically released me and said I should fly home ASAP. Then once home get with my doctors ASAP. So I got released on Wednesday around 3pm. By 5pm I was in the airport boarding a plane to Dallas. My parents; god love them, where going to drive that night our car and Jadin back to NM. That way they could make my cousins wedding on Friday. So with only a back pack and purse my dad drove Adin and me to the airport. Adin rounded up a wheelchair for me since I was NOT allowed to much of anything but sit. Bed rest until I saw my doctors. I was put on Procardia and the medication makes your blood pressure lower. It stops the contractions. I already have low blood pressure normally so this made me a bit whoozy.
The baby shower was great! My BF from High School showed up. We have known one another since third grade. That's a long long time. She is doing great teaching grade school, married, and has one two year old daughter. :) We got to catch up some. I got loads of Gift Cards and some great baby gifts. All able to travel well in the car. The girls got vicious playing games and going for prizes it was funny.
So we are in San Antonio for my baby shower which will be this weekend. My mom invited like 70 ladies from our family. LOL. I think only about 40 will show up though. Since about a third live out of town. But hey it's all good. I am just happy to see everyone. It's been SO long since I have been to a baby shower that I forgot about all the games, bows, door prizes, etc.
So after some discussion we picked another meaningful long ass name. LOL. So we picked Jadin's name as a combo of my first inital and Adin's name. Duh. Sebastien made his transition easier and it was a more common name if he didn't like Jadin. Plus my family loves to call him Sebbie. We have to have a baby nickname in my family. LOL.
Wow, we where a bit shocked. We where "supposed" to have a girl. LOL. At least Adin and I always thought we would if we ever had a child. Went to our ultrasound appointment and yes indeed it's a boy. I can't believe how much you can see on an ultrasound. They did a full anatomy check. We got to see the chambers of the heart, the aorta, the spine, hemispheres of the brain. It was amazing. The baby was moving around a whole lot. Making it hard to get still shots. Adin was very impressed with the images and we both had tears in our eyes. We got some great pictures and even a few 3D pictures. :)
Well mostly anyways. I am doing my best to get used to my body NOT being mine anymore. The lack of control sucks ass. After that hospital visit and seeing my doctor I am doing my best not to overdue anything. I have been told if my back hurts or anything to stop and put my feet up. I will be lucky to not be confined to bed rest during this journey. I am eating and drinking more. Mostly drinking over 60 oz of water a day. I feel waterlogged mostly.
Well I landed my butt in the hospital yesterday. Sigh. I have had heart palpitations, shortness of breathe, and dizziness off and on for about three weeks now. These symptoms have been off and on and not for long duration. Pregnancy makes your blood pressure lower. I have normally low blood pressure so just attributed this all to maybe having lower then normal pressure. Yesterday morning the symptoms lasted longer and for longer duration. I would even lie down and it would get worse. Took my BP and it was at 95/63. Didn't really increase with laying down and feet up. I figured I should go in a get check out when the heart palpitations started and chest pains. Luckily Leon was in town and was able to watch Jadin for me. Leon dropped Adin (who had barely slept and was downing coffee to get conscious) to the hospital.
